How to join Amazon's affiliate program

There are a lot of ways to earn some extra money by joining the Amazon Affiliate Program and getting accustomed to using Amazon's affiliate links. If you haven't set up an Amazon affiliate account yet, I'm going to show you a quick step-by-step process of how to get set up and get started.

Pssst...you can also watch this tutorial!

Step 1: Singing Up

First thing's first, go to the Amazon Affiliate Centre and hit Sign Up. You'll be able to sign in using your existing Amazon account or, if you prefer, set up a brand new one that you'll be using for your brand to do advertising.

Step 2: Set Up Your Account

The next thing you'll need to do is select how you want to be paid - make sure you double-check these details! From there, you'll be asked to enter the website your affiliate links will be on.

You can insert multiple web addresses in case you're planning on using the links through different websites. Once you proceed, you will see a lengthy questionnaire about what you do, your website(s) and so on - make sure to provide alllll the relevant info (I know, it's a lot!). When you get to the end, you'll see that your application has been successfully completed! Note that, although you will get instant access to the affiliate dashboard, the application will still need to be reviewed by a human šŸ¤–

Step 3: Access the Affiliate Dashboard

You've made it! The affiliate dashboard is where all the fun happens. Be sure to watch Amazon's walkthrough so you know where to find everything and how to use it in the most efficient way.

Step 4: Get the Links!

Amazon offers a super quick way of getting affiliate links for products listed on their site - and you get to choose the type of link you're after, too!

Just go to the product you want to link to and you will see SiteStrip across the top. Click on Text and you'll instantly get the short text link you can copy and use right away.

Mix things up by using HTML for some products on your site:

Or have a cute little banner showing the product and the buy button:

That's it! Now, how EASY was that?
