You've seen her stunning, picturesque landscapes - but do you really know Shreya? Learn more about the artist behind the art.
How did you get started doing art?
Art has always been part of my life since childhood. But I took it seriously 3 years ago and never looked back. Since then, it’s learning and exploring each and every day.
What is your favorite medium to create with?
What is your favorite color?
What is the one thing you like to have nearby when you create?
I love to have scented candles and even small plants, be it fake or real, but something green around me while I paint. It just makes me happy and keeps me refreshed!
What most inspires you?
To me, nature has been the biggest, biggest inspiration. Doesn’t it have all you need? The colors, the seasons, the elements, the flora and fauna and so much more
How do you push through creative ruts?
During that time, I just watch other teachers classes and paint those as I don’t have to put lot of my efforts in terms of creativity it’s fun plus you learn a lot too from them. And some days I just rest and watch movies, series. I have understood one thing the longer I stay away from paints the more I miss them so the come back is pretty awesome.
If you could only use 3 supplies for the rest of your life, what 3 items would you choose?
Of course Paper, Brushes and Paints - the three P’s :P
What's your one hot tip for learners?
Keep on experimenting the more you explore the more you will learn, never fear to make mistakes I have learned the most through my mistakes hahah that’s the best way I learn. Keep on practising everyday or if not possible regularly because art is something which you have to develop on your own and the only way you will improve is by giving the time and efforts it needs as there are no shortcuts unfortunately :)
