A drawing class for all skill levels

Your sketchbook called.
It wants a cobblestone street in it.

What if sketching your favorite charming buildings didn’t have to be complicated? Discover the joy and energy of sketching even if you’ve never picked up a pen... (c'mon, I know you've picked up a pen before)

⚡︎ Instant lifetime access • No drawing experience required

What you'll make

A finished sketch of a quaint urban scene of your choice... maybe a café, a shopfronts, your childhood home 🥰 ...using simplified perspective to give your drawing real charm without any complicated geometry.

The class teaches you to see a scene the way a sketcher does:

  • identifying the key structural points
  • breaking the scene into manageable parts
  • building it out one layer at a time, and
  • adding mark-making details like hatching, bricks, shingles, and cobblestones that give the finished piece genuine character.

Wobbly lines welcome. Perfect lines not required.
Works with any pen or pencil you have on hand.

What if sketching didn’t have to be complicated?

If the idea of drawing buildings with accurate perspective feels intimidating, you’re not alone.

Many aspiring sketchers get stuck on where to begin, unsure how to translate what they see onto the page.

That's all about to change.

Learn how to see

Look at a scene and quickly identify the key structural points that give you the whole sketch, so you stop feeling overwhelmed and start feeling in control.

Break down a scene

Reduce a building or street scene into its component parts so you always know where to start and what to do next, without overthinking the angles.

Add depth through imperfections

These small details are what gives personality - texture marks, shadows, depth, and the kind of tactile energy that makes an urban sketch feel alive

dear perfectionists,

This is an absolutely fantastic sketching course. You made the whole process very easy, not intimidating at all and more importantly, showed how to have fun while sketching. Thank you very much!

I really loved the experience of sketching the reference. "Embracing my Mistakes" part has always been hard for me, but this made me realize that they add character and flavour to the sketch. Thank you!

Meet your instructor

hey I'm Peggy

Urban sketching holds a special place for me because of how connected it makes you feel to a place. There's something about drawing a building, even loosely, even imperfectly, that makes you actually look at it. Notice the details. Remember it differently than a photograph would.

I made this class because I wanted more people to experience that, and I wanted to prove that you don't have to be a trained artist to get there. Forty minutes and a pen is all it takes. The rest is just learning to see.

This class is  perfect for you if...

  • You've always wanted to try urban sketching but perspective felt like too big a hurdle
  • You're a perfectionist who wants to practice letting go and actually enjoy the process
  • You travel, journal, or sketchbook and want to be able to capture the places you visit
  • You want a short, achievable class that teaches you something real and transferable
  • You like loose, characterful drawing over tight, precise illustration
