hey I'm Peggy
Most lettering classes teach you to copy. Follow along, produce the same thing the instructor made, and call it done. There's nothing wrong with that for getting started, but it's not how you develop a style.
What I care about is teaching you how lettering actually works. The anatomy of letterforms, the logic of spacing, the way weight and contrast create mood.. so that you can make creative decisions on your own.

Ms. Dean is easy to follow. Her classes are bite sized and each tidbit is complete. She allows lots of places to practice the craft she is teaching. I am quite impressed with the level of writing I am attaining.

Peggy is the best at this for a reason. I really appreciate seeing her do one example several times, in different ways each time. No one improves by doing things one time. And she walks you through the steps in making the little differences in each method.
