Blooming Lines: Botanical Line Drawing Made Easy
Petals, leaves, perspective, composition, and the kind of loose mark-making that makes botanical drawing feel alive
Drawing classes that are worth your time
Here's the thing about drawing: it's not a talent. It's a way of seeing. Once you learn how to look at a scene, a flower, a building and break it into its simplest parts, the whole thing changes.

hey I'm Peggy
I've spent years watching people talk themselves out of drawing before they've even tried. "I'm not artistic." "I can't draw a straight line." "I never learned properly." And then they pick up a pen, I show them how to see a subject differently, and something shifts.
My classes are built around that shift. Not copying what I draw, but understanding how to look at something and translate it onto the page in your own way. That's the skill. And it's learnable... faster than you think, and with a lot more enjoyment than you'd expect.

This is the most helpful sketching video i’ve watched. You’ve explained the technicalities like “eye level” & proportions. You’ve really explained how to draw things and the variations and how to draw them.
It took me a ton of searching to find this class, but I'm so glad I did. I wanted to learn 'line drawing' but most of the classes are about "one line drawing" not just "line drawing" - now that I have been able to go through this course, I'm looking forward to practicing and trying new things. Thanks so much for this great class.
This was an excellent class! I love Peggy’s vibrancy and how she made perspective simple. This is something I struggle with as a beginner to urban type sketching. She taught me to stop overthinking—and overworking—my sketches.
My favourite thing about this class was the encouragement to just draw with a pen. It was soo helpful. So scary at the beginning but so liberating to not be able to go back and correct. It really helped me let go of perfectionism and just embrace what comes. It was also fun to find a way to correct mistakes.
I just got into art within the last few years and I have only recently got into Urban Sketching. I have watched thousands of tutorial videos, literally.....thousands on every medium. Out of all of the tutorials I've watched with all different instructors with all different styles, you are hands down the BEST I've ever seen in terms of explaining what you're doing and the way you go about teaching.
Peggy’s enthusiasm is so contagious that just following the course made me happy. Sketching is not photography will be my new mantra. Imperfection makes art interesting and although one can always make a prettier imperfection, her class helped me to just sketch and enjoy.
She breaks down the basics of urban sketching, explaining not just what she is doing, but also why. It is the why that makes her method so clear and actionable. A great, short class. Thank you, Peggy.
So much fun! This class really helped me realize that I tend to worry a bit too much about getting things "perfect", and I really shouldn't. Being creative should be fun, not stressful. I loved this class and feel so energized!
