I'm the artist and educator behind The Pigeon Letters, and illustrated maps hold a special place for me because of how personal they can be. When I made the example map for this class, I pulled from my own travel journal, places I'd been, things I'd noticed, landmarks that meant something specific to a trip or a time. The result is something I'd genuinely hang on my wall, not because it's technically perfect, but because it's mine. That's what I want for you out of this class.
